1. Versatility

2. Light

Be sure you have good natural light in any space you want to shoot in, and think about what the light will be doing during your session time. If the natural light is limited, be sure what light you do have coming in doesn't create harsh shadows to one side. When in doubt, bring an off-camera flash or continuous light to compensate for less-than-ideal lighting conditions.

3. Aesthetic

Ensure the vibe of the location is right for your client’s brand. This can be make or break! The most important part of what we do as brand photographers is bringing our client’s vision and overall brand image to life. So, make sure you consider the brand’s whole image when you evaluate a location’s aesthetic.
