Are you looking to grow your brand photography business? Want to know how you can connect with more branding clients on Instagram? Then, this is the blog post for you!
Instagram is still my top source for new inquiries and, thus, where I spend most of my time marketing. I also market using my email list, but when it comes to attracting new clients, Instagram is so important! Thankfully, extending your reach on The Gram isn’t rocket science. So, if you want to learn how to make the most of your IG posts, keep reading for my top five tips on connecting with more new clients!

5 WAYS TO CONNECT WITH MORE BRANDING CLIENTS ON INSTAGRAM
1. Add locations to every post
Location tags are a fantastic way to get your posts viewed by more people in your area who don’t already follow you. When you add a location to your content, it’s much easier for folks looking for brand photographers in your area to find you.
2. Use hashtags
Hashtags are not dead, friends. Using hashtags is one of the best ways to get your content in front of people searching for precisely what you do best! Most of my out-of-state clients find me from hashtag searches, so don’t overlook this old-school method of marketing yourself.
3. Tag clients, studios/locations, vendors, etc.
This is an easy way to reach more people on The Gram. Basically, think of it as free marketing for your business! Connecting yourself to other people, locations, and vendors with their own followers gives you more exposure and chances to book referral clients.
4. Add alt text to your photos
Alt text is essentially SEO for Instagram. Taking a couple of seconds to add alt text to your photos gives your content a broader reach and makes it accessible to all Instagram users.
5. Post reels
I know I talk a lot about capturing variety in brand photography shoots, so you shouldn’t be surprised that I think variety is essential for your IG page, too! I love to mix reels in with my static photo posts to boost engagement and reach more people.
And that’s it! I hope these tips help you connect with more branding clients on Instagram and grow your brand photography business. I’d also love to support you with a one-on-one mentor session, my freebie session planning guide, or the resources available in my brand photographer’s shop. And, of course, keep an eye on my brand photographer’s blog for more educational and featured session posts. Until next time!
