Essential Apps for Brand Photography Businesses: 5 Apps I Use Daily

Running a successful personal brand photography business involves a lot more than taking and editing amazing photos. It’s really easy to get overwhelmed by all the backend aspects of running a small business! But having the right tools for each task can make the job so much easier. Keep reading to discover my five must-have apps for brand photography businesses.

Whether you’re growing or just establishing your business, you know how much behind-the-scenes work it takes to reach your goals. However, until you find ways to streamline your workflow, tasks like bookkeeping, social media marketing, and team management can eat up a lot of valuable time. And that’s where I come in! Through these weekly education blogs and my one-on-one mentoring sessions, I’m here to share my insider tips and tricks to help you level up your business.

So, without further ado, here’s a list of my favorite apps to simplify the backend of your business, both in the office and on the go!

1. Canva – Content Creation and Sharing

This is my favorite app for content creation! I use Canva to create and share IG stories for blog posts, features, client shoots, and more.

2. Planoly – IG Grid Planner

Since Instagram is like a mini portfolio, I like visually seeing what my feed will look like with all my content. So, I use the Planoly app to plan my IG grid and maximize my profile’s impact.

3. Quickbooks – Expense Tracker

The Quickbooks mobile app is a fantastic tool for tracking and managing business expenses, categorizing expenses, tracking mileage, and more!

4. TickTick – Task Organizer

This is the app I use to drop notes and info to my team. I love that TickTick helps me keep everyone on track and organized with their tasks.

5. Lightroom Mobile – On-the-Go Photo and Video Editor

While I only use Lightroom Desktop for my client’s edits, I like to use Lightroom Mobile when sharing personal things on social media. This mobile editor lets me quickly ensure all my content is consistent with my brand identity.

All in all, I think these are some of the best apps for brand photography businesses because you’ll use them all the time. I know I do! If you like this list, be sure to stop by my online shop for templates, resources, and special offers on more of my favorite workflow platforms.
