How to invest in your brand

You’ve got somewhat of a handle on this whole entrepreneur life, have a few ducks in a row and now you’re ready to add on a little more to really help propel your brand to the next level. One thing to always consider as an entrepreneur is investing back into your business. This can be anything from education to photography to a new website… the list can go on and on. As a brand photographer who empowers the growth of female entrepreneurs i’ve broken down my top three ways to invest in your brand.

  • Emotional investment

We’ve all know that one of your main goals should be to reach your ideal client right? Well, what if you don’t know exactly who that is? That’s OKAY! Part of what I do in brand photography is capture the emotional cornerstones of your brand. In return that helps draw in those ideal clients who are then able to connect with you on an emotional level. Win-Win! So when I say “emotional investment” all I’m asking you to do is put your self out there. Show the emotional side of your brand and allow the right type of people(your kind of people) to connect with you.

  • Financial Investment

We’ve all heard the term “you gotta spend money to make money” right? Although I have mixed feelings on that term I do believe part of it is accurate. When spending any sort of money in your business think long term. Somethings to consider would be “how will this help my brand get to that next step, will this be beneficial enough to help me reach my ideal client, does this help me reach my end goal”. Financial investments can be a hard pill to swallow for some(especially if you’re just starting out and don’t have a lot to spend) but if your end goal is to grow your brand then financially investing in the right places at the right time is a must.

  • Visual Investment

You didn’t think I couldn’t write this post and not talk about the benefits of visually investing in your brand, did you? If not, well then my friend you know me too well. YES YES YES– visually invest in your brand! Images are one of the very FIRST impressions a potential client gets when looking at any of your social media accounts. Just let that sink in for a moment… It won’t be all the fancy copy you have on your website or all the wonderful packages or services you offer. It will be your imagery and how on point they are… that right there will decide the fate of if that person is going to stick around to learn more about you and your brand OR go onto the next person. Taking the time to invest in a photographer and yourself will put you one step closer to landing that ideal client.
